Welcome

Welcome to Rose City Hockey Club's registration site!

Registration for Winter 2017 is Now OPEN for 10U and 12U!

Season details below:

This Winter we are again offering three programs for girls ages 9 through 12 (10U & 12U) or, in USA Hockey terms, birth years 2007 through 2004.  One is a 8 week program that includes weekly on-ice practices (8 ice sessions) and dry land training (6 dry land sessions).  The second option is ice-only and includes 8 weekly on-ice practices.  The third option is a dry land only option.   Please note that your player is required to be registered with USA Hockey for the 2016/17 season and a valid registration number will be required to complete registration (If you need to register your player, click here to go to USA Hockey's website).  We are also hoping to participate in a tournament or jamboree sometime in late Winter or Spring 2017.  Details on this to follow.  Finally, as always, RCHC will provide gear to any participant if needed.

***Please note that we will have a minimum participation threshold for dry land training and if we don't get enough kids signed up for the dry land portion, we will cancel dryland for the winter season (and, of course, refund your $$).  It's a terrific program and we hope to have enough interest to keep it rolling!

Our Winter Season will not include a Learn to Skate program this year due to the lack of available ice.  We are, however, shifting our main season to Spring.  The reason for this shift is that most of the youth hockey wraps up in March and so we are able to obtain more ice for the girls in April through Mid-June.  It is during this season that we will offer hockey instruction for all ages (5 through 16) and will have a Learn to Skate program as well.  We apologize for the shift in seasons but, until Portland builds more ice rinks, there is simply not enough available ice for everyone that wants it, when they want it.

Our Winter program details follow.....

*A note on dry land training - The dry land training will be run by Doug Lynch Hockey and will focus on working on strength, quickness and agility...all of which are necessary skills for young and developing hockey players.  We are very excited to be adding this to our offering this Fall..and as part of our future seasons.  It's also a great way for the girls to get to know one another and build a more cohesive team environment.
